Gold has been cherished for centuries, but did you know that pure 24K gold is too soft to craft durable jewelry? To enhance its strength and color, gold is mixed with other metals, creating stunning variations like white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold. Each of these gold alloys has its own unique characteristics and popularity in fine jewelry, from engagement rings to wedding bands. Let’s dive into the differences to help you choose the best gold for your style.
So when we mix higher content of silver and platinum or even palladium making it an alloy and mix that with gold we land up making white gold.
White gold in 18k has a higher tinge of yellow compare to 14k and 10k. White Gold is most popular today specially in western styles jewelry like engagement rings, eternity bands, wedding bands etc.
I would say if 100 jewelry pcs are made today in diamonds for wedding or engagement purpose 85 of them would be made in white gold, for many people who don’t want to spend money on platinum have started buying white gold.
White gold as it not very even in color after the jewelry pc is completely ready we rhodium the whole pcs to give it lots of shine and polished effect giving it bright white gold effect.
Truly the actual gold color, 24K gold is too soft and cannot be made in to jewelry for making expensive engagement rings, wedding bands etc as if the gold is soft it will not hold the stones so we mix it with allow and if we want to maintain the color of yellow we make an alloy of copper, zinc and silver too.
Yellow metal is yet very popular especially when one wore it with gemstones, ruby, sapphires and emeralds looks so much better in yellow gold.
Recently I have seen that yellow gold is getting to be more and more popular it is long way from it very popular years long time ago, but we are going on making more of them now days.
This color gold is formed when the content of copper is used maximum to give it a pink or rose gold color, they tend to make metal very brittle and harder to work, they looks best gemstones like ruby, red garnets, pink sapphires, with time this metal color is also getting to be more and more popular.
Out of the three top color of metal white is most popular than comes yellow gold and last is rose gold.
We can have all the three colors of metal in any purity like 18K,14K,10K or even 9K mostly used in Europe.
For a modern and luxurious look – Choose white gold.
For a classic and vintage feel – Opt for yellow gold.
For a trendy and romantic style – Go for rose gold.
At Trijewels, we offer a stunning collection of white, yellow, and rose gold jewelry in various purities, including 18K, 14K, and 10K. Whether you’re looking for a timeless engagement ring or a fashion-forward piece, explore our exquisite collection to find the perfect gold hue for your style.

So, your journey of “I said yaaaaaas” begins – a big congratulations to you! And we’re sure your partner chose the perfect engagement ring, but have you ever thought what’s the difference between engagement ring and wedding ring? And, if you love your first “ring of love” so much, do you really need to get a coordinating wedding ring that goes with your unique style? At Trijewels, our experts will answer your most pressing questions, especially help you figure out the engagement ring vs. wedding ring debate, once and for all.
Both engagement rings and wedding rings carry significant meaning. The engagement ring is presented to a woman during a proposal or when a couple decides to get married. On the other hand, wedding ringsare exchanged at the wedding ceremony and worn starting from that time. Wedding ring represents the official bond of marriage and expresses a couple’s mutual love in both public and private.
Wedding rings tend to have simple designs, such as classic band like this plain bands or a diamond-encrusted eternity bands that you receive when you exchange vows during the wedding ceremony. In many instances, wedding rings don’t feature large diamonds and gemstones. So brides choose a Flat Comfort Fit, Milgrain designs or Micro Pave set band that complement their bigger engagement ring.
Engagement rings tend to be more extravagant and typically have one dominant stone, which either stands alone or is surrounded by additional small side diamonds. Considering your partner choice, engagement ring styles range from simple single stone designs like solitaire engagement ring to intricate designs ring like this custom design.
Due to their unique designs, the total carat weight of the engagement ring is generally higher than that of the wedding ring, resulting in a fairly significant price difference between both the rings.
To sum things up, the engagement ring is used to propose to one person in the relationship. It symbolizes a pledge of love and commitment for marriage. Wedding rings are worn by both spouses after exchanging vows during the marriage ceremony that represents the commitment, love and faithfulness of each other.
Well, it totally depends on individuals.
We mainly recommend that before you get down on one knee, you buy an engagement ring first, just in case the other person wants to buy the wedding ring together afterwards.
On the other hand, if you and your partner already have plans of spending the rest of your life together and have already discussed rings beforehand then it makes sense to buy both or just the wedding ring!
While there are no hard and fast engagement ring and wedding ring rules, you can wear both the rings together on the fourth finger of your left. As far as how to stack them, traditionally you’ll wear the wedding ring inside the engagement ring so that it’s closer to your heart.
According to their personal preferences and depending on an individual’s culture, some brides opt to wear their engagement rings on one hand and the wedding ring on the other, especially when both the rings have diverse designs and can’t be stacked.

So, Congratulations!
Now, you must be thinking – is there a right way for me to wear this ring? What do the other rings symbolize? Why are there so many rings? It might seem confusing at first, but don’t worry – we got you.
A ring is not only the jewelry or accessory that can adorn your finger, in fact, but each ring also carries significate meaning with different milestones. The engagement ring is different from a wedding ring in terms of design, placement, and price-point but the main difference between the two is when each ring is given to another person. Engagement is typically given at the time of proposal or when a couple decides to embark on the marriage journey and a wedding ring is commonly representing the official bond of marriage and exchanged at the wedding ceremony. The rings symbolize the union of two people.
Therefore, couples buy a matching wedding ring set to ensure the two match and look stylish when worn together. However, matching your wedding band with your spouses is not necessary. A bride can reflect her own individual styles with classic bridals, Prima bridals, 3 stone bridals, and so on, while the groom can choose from our collection of men's wedding bands without worrying about coordination with their spouse. We also think it’s amazing when both spouses choose classic bridals or wedding bands – whatever they feel fits their style is important!
In most cultures, the engagement ring and wedding rings are worn on ring finger next to your pinky finger on your left hand as it is the only finger with a vein connects to the heart (or so, Ancient Romans believed it to be!). Most of the people wear their engagement ring and wedding band next to each other, so it is completely your choice which finger you choose to wear each ring.
There really is nothing telling you that you can’t wear this differently but, in most traditions, the couples wear the wedding band “closest to their heart”, which means the rings goes on the third finger of the left hand. On actual wedding day, most brides-to-be switch their engagement ring to their right hand before walking down the aisle to say ‘I do’ so as their significant other puts on the wedding band, their finger is empty. After the wedding ceremony over, brides will move their engagement ring on top of the wedding band. Increasing in popularity in recent years, some people choose to get their engagement ring and wedding band soldered together to create a bridal set one unified piece.
There are few brides who choose to wear simple wedding rings as theywork in a job where they use their hands a lot (surgeons, physical therapist). There can be situations where a person might be afraid of loosing or damaging a diamond ring. So, they simply choose rings that does not have elevated diamonds. If you have any questions about this, reach out to us at TriJewels.com!
Anniversaries will always be a special celebration about your lasting love. Several times, it also the perfect moment to buy an anniversary. Using different metals and gemstones, you can add to your wedding band and engagement ring with another perspective on your love.
Today more celebrities are wearing engagement rings which include Skylar Astin, Max Ehrich, Dimitri Rassam, Michael Bublé, and professional wrestler David Otunga have also sported wearing an engagement ring to show their decision to get married.
Undoubtedly yes! Although it’s usually men who propose to women in heterosexual couples, women are now proposing more! Men don’t traditionally wear engagement rings but celebrities like Ed Sheren, Michael Buble, and David Otung have made it popular to do so.It shows your commitment to marriage, just like your significant other is showing theirs. In the end, we think it’s truly up to you!

Primarily, you must check your precious jewelry as most of these jewelry have delicate styling, designs, and settings, that increase the risk of parts coming loose or for them to trap a lot of dirt. If there are problems with the setting, like a loose claw, you should talk to your jeweler.
It's not the stone that’s in immediate danger – it’s the diamond’s setting. But, even the diamond can lose some of its gorgeous shine if it’s not regularly cleaned. The best mixture of cleaning solution for diamonds is ammonia or mild dish detergent with water. The ratio of this solution should be a quarter cup of ammonia to one cup of lukewarm water. After mixing the solution, simply let the piece of diamond jewelry soak in the solution for 20-30 minutes. Once this time is complete, gently brush the jewelry with a soft toothbrush to dislodge any dirt. Make sure to avoid brushing the diamond too vigorously to keep from dislodging the diamond from its setting. After this step, simply rinse off the solution and dirt and dry. Do not allow the piece to air-dry, as this process can leave unsightly hard water spots on your favorite diamond pieces.
In order to properly care for your gemstone jewelry, you should never assume that two gemstones are alike. As for detergents, mild dish soap is generally safe in cooler water for most gemstone pieces and most pieces of jewelry in general. The exception to this includes fine jewelry containing pearls. While gemstones are sturdier than pearls, they aren’t as sturdy as diamonds. As a result, even steaming your gemstone jewelry can be a risky cleaning option for some gemstones. Again, there are some exceptions to this rule. The stones that could benefit from steaming include alexandrite, aquamarine, rhodonite, ruby, and sapphire. While no cleaning solution is 100% safe for all gemstones, lint-free cleaning towels and cloths made from microfiber are safe on virtually any gemstone.
Whether you have white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold jewelry, cleaning procedures are the same for all three types of the lustrous metal. Standard commercial gold polishes will quickly and safely clean gold jewelry when applied with a soft chamois cloth. If your gold jewelry has begun to tarnish, simply soak the jewelry in this lukewarm water and dish soap mixture for a short time and gently rub the jewelry with a lint free cloth. This should immediately take the tarnish off of your jewelry. If the tarnish is more aggressive, an ultrasonic cleaning machine can also be used to good effect. However, these types of cleaning machines should be used sparingly if your gold jewelry has precious stones, as they can loosen the gemstones, pearls and other decorative items embedded in the gold. For plain gold items soiled with grease, a quick dip into a glass containing rubbing alcohol can undo the damage.
Platinum is one of the easiest fine metals to care for. Due to its strength, it is virtually immune to tarnish from discoloration. However, it is not immune to scratching from over-polishing. If you do scratch your platinum piece, please bring it in to Trijewel’s and one of our professional jewelers will re-polish your platinum jewelry item. In order to properly polish a platinum jewelry item at home, use lukewarm and mild dish soap and a chamois cloth. When polishing, gently rub so you avoid scratching your platinum piece. Unless the piece is heavily soiled, due to the sturdiness of platinum pieces, it’s enough to simply have your pieces professionally cleaned at Trijewel’s once or twice a year.

Whether your partner has petite fingers, long elegant hands, or wider fingers, there’s a ring style that will flatter them best. Let’s dive into the best engagement ring styles for every hand shape.
For Small Fingers: Less is More
If your partner has petite hands, you don’t need an oversized diamond to make an impact. Instead, go for a design that enhances their delicate features.
💎 Best Diamond Shapes: Round Brilliant, Oval, or Pear-shaped diamonds create an illusion of length.💍 Best Settings: Solitaire or a delicate pavé band will keep things elegant without overpowering the finger.🚫 Avoid: Chunky bands or large halos that can overwhelm smaller hands.
For Thin Fingers: Keep it Classy & Elegant
Thin fingers naturally make diamonds look larger—so you can achieve a wow-factor without a giant stone! The goal is to find a balance that complements their slender frame.
💎 Best Diamond Shapes: Marquise, Emerald, or Oval-cut diamonds elongate the finger and create a stunning look.💍 Best Settings: Solitaire or three-stone rings add dimension without looking too overpowering.🚫 Avoid: Overly large stones with slim bands—this might make the ring look too heavy for the finger.
For Long Fingers: The Ultimate Ring Playground
If your partner has long, slender fingers, almost any engagement ring style will look fabulous! You have the freedom to choose from both classic and statement-making designs.
💎 Best Diamond Shapes: Princess, Asscher, Cushion, or Emerald-cut diamonds offer an elegant, elongated appearance.💍 Best Settings: Halo or bold settings like tension-style rings will maximize the presence of the diamond.🚫 Avoid: Super slim bands, as they can make long fingers look even longer than they already are.
For Wider Fingers: Make a Statement
If your partner has wider fingers, the key is to choose a design that makes the diamond the center of attention while balancing proportions.
💎 Best Diamond Shapes: Oval, Emerald, or Marquise-cut diamonds help elongate and slim the fingers.💍 Best Settings: Halo settings, split-shank bands, and vintage-inspired designs add width and make the diamond appear larger.🚫 Avoid: Small, minimalist rings, as they can make the fingers appear wider by contrast.
No matter your partner’s hand shape, there’s an engagement ring that will make their heart skip a beat! At TriJewels, we offer a customizable selection of engagement rings that fit every hand type and style preference. Browse through our collection to find the one that’s just right!
1. Can I use toothpaste to clean my jewelry? No! Toothpaste is too abrasive and can scratch metals and gemstones. Stick to mild dish soap and lukewarm water for a safe and effective clean.
2. How often should I clean my jewelry? For everyday pieces, a gentle cleaning once a week keeps them sparkling. For fine jewelry, a professional cleaning at Trijewels every 6-12 months is ideal.
3. Is it safe to wear my jewelry in the shower? Not recommended! Soap, shampoo, and hard water can dull gemstones and weaken metal settings over time. Always remove jewelry before showering.
4. Why does my white gold jewelry look yellow over time?White gold is coated with rhodium for its bright finish, which can wear off. A quick rhodium re-plating at Trijewels will restore its original shine!

As August comes around, we’re here to introduce the birthstone for this month: Peridot.
Peridots are one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color: an olive-green. The intensity and tint of the green, however, depends on the percentage of iron in the crystal structure, so the color of individual Peridot gems can vary from yellow, to olive, to brownish-green.
The August birthstone, peridot, symbolizes strength, health, and prosperity. It is known to be a powerful cleanser that alleviates jealousy and irritation. It is said to be a calming stone, as it helps to keep away negative energies and nightmares. Peridot is an anti-stress stone that brings the owner good luck, peace and success.
What makes peridot stands out is that it illumines brighter in moonlight than in sunlight, thus it is called “THE EVENING EMERALD”. Often mistaken for emeralds in the middle ages, peridot adorns some of the most ornatejewelry, such as the farmed Treasury of the Three Magi in the Cologne Cathedral in Germany.
Though emerald is the national gem of Egypt, Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt, was not wearing emeralds but was famous for wearing deep green peridot stones from the mines in Egypt. It is also believed that Napoleon gave Josephine a peridot jewel as a symbol of his love for her.

A gemstone will last a lifetime and should be selected with care. The right stone should resonate with your personality by bringing beauty and joy into your life while the wrong stone is likely to end up buried at the bottom of your jewelry box. Take the time to do a bit of research and reflect upon your needs, wants, and personality to ensure that you end up with the perfect stone.
To help set you on the path to your ideal gemstone, here is a guide to the four most common precious stones.
Diamond is the birthstone for the month of April and a traditional gift for the tenth and sixtieth wedding anniversaries.
The diamond is the most classic, timeless, and revered of all gemstones. Its name comes from the Greek word for “unbreakable” because a diamond is the hardest material on earth and can only be scratched by another diamond. Diamonds reflect light in a unique way and possess the highest shine of all transparent gemstones.
Diamonds are most commonly colorless but they are also available in several colors such as black, yellow, and blue. The white diamond represents peace, goodness, and reverence, while black diamonds symbolize power, elegance, and wealth, Yellow is the color of joy, imagination, and hope. Blue stands for harmony, confidence, and protection.
The diamond is believed to attract success, wealth, and abundance as well as have the power to restore an impatient mind. It is a symbol of high status and eternal love. Diamonds encourage a person to step into their true power and fulfill their spiritual destiny.
Rubies are the birthstone for the month of July and a traditional gift for the fifteenth and fortieth wedding anniversaries.
Rubies have broken auction price records of all colored gems. Pure rubies which exhibit intersecting groups of thin inclusions called needles are softer in color and make a phenomenon called “silk” that causes light to scatter beautifully across the stone's facets.
Rubies are always red but can vary greatly in tint from light blush to deep wine. Red is the color of passion, desire, and love. It also symbolizes power, intensity, and energy. The color red is a good choice for Christmas as well as Valentine’s Day. When given as a gift, rubies represent both friendship and love.
The ruby is said to protect from evil, misfortune, poor health, and pain. Rubies are believed to encourage confidence, determination, courage, renewed vitality, and enthusiasm. These stones are an activator for passion not only in the romantic sense, but also in the pursuit of goals giving the wearer the fortitude to see things through.
Emeralds are the birthstone for the month of May and a traditional gift for the twentieth and thirty-fifth wedding anniversaries.
The emerald is a traditional stone and one of the most popular gems. Emeralds were a favorite of Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt. These gemstones can be difficult to cut due to the presence of inclusions called “jardin”. Gem cutters developed the square or rectangular emerald cut to make the process easier.
While emeralds are always green, they can range from a light and airy seafoam, to a dark pine. Green is the color of nature and the environment. This color symbolizes good luck, youth, and health. Green promotes generosity, fertility, renewal and vigor.
The emerald has a strong link to fertility and well-being. This gemstone is believed to improve eyesight, relieve insomnia, lift depression, heal heartbreak, and give the wearer psychic powers. Emeralds promote learning, wisdom, and self-knowledge while symbolizing growth, balance, and patience.
Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September and a traditional gift for the fifth and forty-fifth wedding anniversaries.
A pure sapphire is actually white. It is the presence of titanium and iron that gives sapphires their deep blue color. Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, wears the famous sapphire engagement ring that was once owned by the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Sapphires are most often blue but they can also be pink, white, or yellow. Blue is the color of peace, harmony, and confidence. Pink signals romance, love, and friendship. White is the color of peace, youth, and goodness. Yellow promotes happiness, hope, and imagination.
The sapphire symbolizes peace and happiness. Sapphires are said to promote mental focus, insight, intuition and psychic awareness. In ancient times they were believed to grant the ability to predict the future. Yellow sapphires specifically are linked to prosperity, success, wealth, and abundance.
All in all, there are many components to consider when choosing a gemstone, such as appearance, historical significance, color, and symbolism. Most importantly, the gemstone of your choice has to be beautiful and meaningful to the person who wears it.

So this is really big news as per FTC(Federal Trade Commission) a lab grown diamond can now be called Diamond, it is not synthetic but actual Diamond which can be categorized as Cultured Diamond.
The FTC’s previous definition of a diamond stated: “A diamond is a natural mineral consisting essentially of pure carbon crystallized in the isometric system.” This is no longer applicable, the commission said Tuesday. The new listing does not include the word “natural.”
“When the commission first used this definition in 1956, there was only one type of diamond product on the market — natural stones mined from the earth,” the FTC said. “Since then, technological advances have made it possible to create diamonds in a laboratory. These stones have essentially the same optical, physical and chemical properties as mined diamonds. Thus, they are diamonds.”
It clearly helps us to sell them to end consumer as Diamonds except we need to clearly mention in our advertisement or listing that is Cultured Diamond, While the Diamond coming out from mother earth will be called Mined Diamond.
This clearly bring a new journey for us sellers as now we can offer both to our customer either they want the rare earth mined diamond which has a story but a price one has to pay for the story or buy Cultured Diamond which is clearly cheaper than a Mined Diamond but you do not have a story behind the origin but surely build your own story moving forward.
Clearly Customer is real winner so today in this world and time they have best of both the worlds to choose from , should one want to a story behind it as it being mined some kind of history and mystery one can go for Mined Diamonds or one also can go for something more organic, save the earth feeling where no conflict diamond is involved and go get Cultured Diamonds, which in reality is cheaper in price for the same look and feel.
Yes, I as a founder and owner of the company after tossing around in the night what should i do ? Finally I decided that we have to offer Cultured Diamonds as they have many good reasons to offer, we will not stop selling Mined Diamonds but we will surely offer both and leave it to our dear customers what ever they want we should have them to offer. So stay tuned and we will surely have many more styles to offer in Diamonds-Mined or Cultured.

The History of BirthStone
The idea of birthstones – a gemstone assigned to each month of the year – is thought to be an ancient one, and scholars trace it back to the Breastplate of Aaron that was described in the book of Exodus in the Bible. The Breastplate was a religious garment set with twelve gemstones that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. The gems were set in four rows of three: Sardius, topaz and carbuncle; emerald, sapphire and diamond; ligure, agate and amethyst; and beryl, onyx and jasper.
So how did we get from gemstones representing the twelve tribes of Israel to birthstones? The writings of Flavius Josephus (1st century AD) and St. Jerome (5th century AD) made the connection between the 12 stones in the Breastplate and the 12 signs of the zodiac. The idea was proposed that each of the gemstones had special powers associated with the corresponding astrological sign, and that wearing these stones at the right time would have therapeutic or talismanic benefits.
For individuals who were born within the month of a specific gemstone, that would become their birthstone.
